The book

Who should read Engineering Leadership Bridging the Gap?: Engineers who want to lead, managers who need to grow technical leaders, and executives who need a pipeline. It is written for people who already respect craft and want a second one.
Is this for individual contributors, or only managers?: Both. Several chapters are explicitly for ICs who lead through influence, architecture, and staff-level impact. Management is one path across the gap, not the only one.
Is this appropriate for engineering managers?: Yes. Managers live in the gap. The book, the mentoring workbook, and the discussion guide are designed to be used in 1:1s and team academies.
How long is the book?: 129 pages, published August 22, 2023. It is meant to be finished, underlined, and used — not displayed.
What does ELBTG stand for?: Elevate, Learn, Build, Transform, Grow. It is the operating model in the book: a way to develop engineers into technology leaders on purpose.

Is there an ebook or audiobook?: Check the Amazon listing for current Kindle availability. Audiobook is not listed at this time — if that changes, it will appear on the Buy page.

Is there a corporate edition?: The same edition is used by individuals and companies. What changes is the wrapper: discussion guides, workshops, assessments, and bulk fulfillment. Ask us about a cohort package.
Can organizations purchase in bulk?: Yes. Use the bulk form on Get the Book or send a corporate inquiry. We can advise on workbooks, facilitation, and a 90-day program spine.

Is there a discussion guide?: Yes — a session-by-session guide for teams, book clubs, and academies lives under Resources. It is free to use with purchased copies of the book.

Do I need an account?: No for reading. Sign in if you want to save an assessment profile, a playbook, challenge progress, or join community discussions.
Is the assessment scientific?: It is a developmental snapshot, not a psychometric instrument. Use it to choose a reading path and a practice, not as a hiring test.
